The day of the show has come and gone, and our queue line experience was a resounding success. People were engaged with the content and had no hesitations about calling in and participating in the game.

Our favorite last-minute idea was the inclusion of a Virtual Host which we used to interact with our guests (code named: Windows Notepad).

We did run into a few technical barriers, but overcame them and completed the line experience. Here is a short video re-capping our deliverable!

In preparations for the debut of Get in Line, Tracy gave an interview to WDUQ about Get in Line and the Building Virtual Worlds show. Here is a link to the write-up. (Don’t worry - since the team consists of all teaching assistants this semester, Josh and Soo were inside running the BVW show while Lisa, Natasha and Tracy facilitated the line experience. A HUGE number of first years, second years and alumni helped make it all possible - team work and planning at it’s best! We love you all for helping!!!!)

Tomorrow, December 3rd, marks the day of our big end-of-semester experience test at the queue line for the Building Virtual Worlds show.  The team has been crunching to prepare.  At the ETC Soft Opening last week, we presented a mock-up of our experience staging and did stress testing with our games.  We got great feedback from the playtest and have since made many adjustments to our line experience.

Today we sort out our final tech needs, lock our code, and prepare for tomorrow’s big test.  Stay tuned for the results!
